About Sohoknit

Sohoknit was started because we couldn’t find what we were looking for in the Indian premium tee market; a cotton t-shirt made from genuinely premium fabric, with decoration that didn’t degrade after three Mumbai monsoons or a year of Bengaluru washes. The screen-printed option was everywhere; and most of it cracked within six months, the properly made one, in real long staple cotton, with embroidery instead of print, that didn’t look like a corporate uniform was not.

We chose _______ because we were not interested in making something that looked premium; we were interested in making something that is premium and will stay that way.

_______ is extra-long-staple cotton. The fibres are longer, the yarn is smoother and stronger, and the fabric takes embroidery cleanly; without puckering, without thread cracking, without the surface wearing away. We didn’t pick it for marketing. We selected it because it’s the only blank that earns the embroidery.

The marks on our garments are stitched through the cloth. They do not sit on top of it. They will not crack, fade, or peel after many washes. The embroidery will look exactly as it does today.

And yes, our products are slightly more expensive. But the price of quality has always been high. When you buy a Sohoknit piece, you’re not buying a graphic applied to a tee. you’re buying a _______ garment where the design has become part of the cloth. That permanence is the product.

Each piece is embroidered after your order is placed. The embroidery, the specific design you chose, is applied on demand. The garment in its finished form doesn’t exist until you buy it.

This means a slightly longer wait, about 5 to 9 business days for metro cities, 9 to 14 for non-metro. We think that’s a reasonable trade for something made specifically for you.

If something isn’t right from our end, damage in transit, defective stitching, incorrect placement, wrong item, we replace or refund within 7 days, no argument. Because each piece is made to your order, we don’t accept change-of-mind or sizing returns. Please use our Size Guide before ordering. Email support@sohoknit.com if you’re unsure.

We don’t compromise the naming system to chase a trend. This makes us slower but it also makes us consistent.
